How We Support NDIS Participants
Can I Refer Myself?

CCEDS provides individualised dietetic and feeding support for children, teenagers and adults living with disability. We recognise that eating and nutritional difficulties can affect people at any age, influencing health, independence, daily routines and participation in everyday life.
ARFID and Feeding Difficulties
We provide assessment and individualised support for ARFID and feeding difficulties in both adults and children, particularly where autism, sensory processing differences or other neurodevelopmental conditions affect eating.
Our neuro-affirming approach recognises sensory preferences, communication needs, autonomy and individual goals. Support may focus on improving nutritional adequacy, reducing distress around eating and developing sustainable approaches to food without unnecessary pressure.
Dietetic and Nutritional Support
Our dietitian supports adults, teenagers and children whose disability affects their ability to meet nutritional needs. This may include restricted food variety, nutritional inadequacy, difficulties with meal planning and preparation, establishing eating routines, and managing nutrition-related challenges associated with autism, neurodivergence or other disabilities.
For adults, support may focus on developing practical nutrition strategies, increasing independence with food and meals, and working collaboratively with support workers or carers where appropriate.
Speech Pathology and Communication
Our speech pathologist provides expertise in communication, language development and feeding difficulties, particularly in infants and children.
Where appropriate, speech pathology can help identify communication, sensory and developmental factors that influence eating and mealtime participation.
Supporting Independence and Everyday Life
Our approach extends beyond nutritional advice. We work with participants to develop practical strategies that support independence, confidence and participation in everyday activities involving food. Depending on individual needs, this may involve collaborating with families, partners, carers, support workers, support coordinators and other healthcare professionals.
NDIS funding may be available for eligible disability-related supports, where these align with the participant’s goals, funding arrangements and current NDIS requirements.
